Long Distance
To place a long distance call, dial:9+1+(area code) +(number).
The State of Georgia is currently under contract for long distance with Qwest for all State Agencies including the University.
Long distance charges are billed directly to your department budget. Telecommunications provides monthly call detail for each line with long distance activity (date, time, length, destination, etc.).
Long distance calling may also be accomplished by the use of the Qwest State Calling Card when business related calls must be placed away from the office telephone.

limited to official STATE business only.
