Postal Services News! As you may or may not know, Georgia Southern Campus Postal Services will be transitioning to a new system for the management of the mail boxes located at Landrum Center. Beginning in the fall of 2010, only University Housing residents will be automatically assigned a Post Office Box at no charge and residents will not need to do anything to retain or obtain a box. Students who are not University Housing residents but wish to have a P.O. Box located at Landrum Center, can purchase a box for one (1) year at a cost of $20 by visiting our new P.O. Box store at http://services.georgiasouthern.edu/postoffice/store/. Within the P.O. Box Store you are able to purchase a box without any hassle or having to leave your home! Simply complete the form and we will do the rest for you. You will receive a confirmation e-mail when we have processed your request. Other Current Students (non-University Housing Residents): If you 1) chose to retain your existing P.O. Box per your my.GeorgiaSouthern answer in May of 2010 OR 2) took classes during Summer 2010, then you must go to the P.O. Box Store at http://services.georgiasouthern.edu/postoffice/store/ to make your payment of $20. After purchasing a box, you will be assigned a box for the current year, August 10, 2010 – July 31, 2011. Within 2 days you will be able to verify your P.O. Box number and combination on your Wings account. You must purchase a box before August 31, 2010 or your box will be canceled. At any time, any student can purchase a box at the P.O. Box Store: http://services.georgiasouthern.edu/postoffice/store/. There are no refunds at any time and no discounts if you use the box for less than the one (1) year contract. Students are allowed to purchase a box at any time during the year, but we will not pro-rate these fees. Methods of payment are Visa or MasterCard (no cash or checks). |
