Office of Institutional Effectiveness
and Strategic Planning

The Office of Institutional Effectiveness and Strategic Planning reports to the President
and is responsible for coordinating the assessment and strategic planning processes on an
institutional level for Georgia Southern University. Georgia Southern University aspires
to offer learning experiences of the highest quality and the institution is committed to
achieving that goal through planning and continuous improvement.

Specifically, the OIESP:

Assists academic and support units in identifying and measuring learning
and programmatic outcomes (through the Institutional Effectiveness Committee)

Shares best practices related to strategic planning and institutional effectiveness

Provides evidence of institutional accountability to stakeholders

Gathers, maintains, and disseminates resources that support the strategic planning
and assessment processes on campus

Supports and helps set the agenda of the Strategic Planning Council
and the Institutional Effectiveness Committee
