The Office of Legal Affairs provides legal advice and support services to Georgia Southern University and its administration. Our office is located in room 1005 of the Marvin Pittman Administration Building. We provide a broad range of services to the University community. Please feel free to contact us if you should have any legal questions involving University business. For the latest developments, click on News and Updates.
Our office serves
as the liaison between the institution and the system-level legal staff,
as well as the Georgia Attorney General's office. Please do not contact
these offices without consulting with the Georgia Southern Office of Legal
Affairs first. The Office of Legal
Affairs cannot offer legal advice or services to students. If you are
a student in need of legal advice or legal services, we suggest you contact
the Office of the Dean
of Students for information about legal services the
SGA provides for Georgia Southern students. In addition, we are
unable to offer legal advice or services to faculty or staff regarding
their own legal concerns. If you need legal services for yourself, you
should contact one of Statesboro's excellent attorneys. If you need help
finding an attorney, try Martindale
Hubbell. If you are unable to pay for legal services, you may be eligible
for assistance through the Georgia
Legal Services Program. |
