GroupWise Frequently Asked Questions

1. Can you do a busy search for more than seven days?
Yes. From the main GroupWise window, select Tools - Busy search. In the busy search windows, change Number of days to search to the number of days you want to search.
2. How do you change the font in GroupWise?
After opening a new email window, select a font type and font size from formatting toolbar above the message field. If the formatting toolbar is missing, go to View and HTML to make it appear. After selecting a font type and size, you can set the current font as default by right-clicking one of the fields and selecting Set current font as default.
3. Some messages I receive are blank, how do I fix it?
To correct this, change the default view to HTML. This can be done by selecting Tools - Options from the main GroupWise window. From the options windows, double-click on Environment. From the environment windows, select the Views tab and set Default Read View and Default Compose View to HTML.
4. My e-mails are disappearing, where have they gone?
Any e-mails that are over 30 days old are automatically moved to archive. To access these e-mails, from the main GroupWise window, select File - Open Archive. To return to your online mailbox, select File - Open Archive again.
5. My name is misspelled or my contact information is incorrect in GroupWise, what do I do?

6. How do I create a group in GroupWise?

7. Can the trash folder be archived?
No.
8. The folder list on the left side of the GroupWise windows is gone, how do I get it back?
Select View - Folder List.
9. Is there a way to create a group in GroupWise using a list of e-mails from an external document?
If the list of e-mails is contained in a spreadsheet, word table, or in a text document separated by comas, then you can use them to create a group. To create a group using the list of e-mails, select all the addresses and copy them. Create a new mail message in GroupWise and paste the addresses into the To: field.
