Network Connection: Connecting
to the Internet
Georgia Southern has a high-speed network called GSNet. All
computer labs on campus have access to GSNet. If you have
a computer and are living in one of our campus residence halls,
you can connect your personal computer to GSNet. Most computers
purchased in the last few years can easily connect to this
network. You will not need a modem, but rather a standard
or wireless ethernet card in your computer to connect - and
there is no monthly charge for your Internet usage!
Note: Students living off campus cannot connect to GSNet.
The residence halls with rooms with direct-wired
connections are-
- Eagle Village
- Kennedy Hall
- Sanford Hall
- The Southern Pines Complex
- The Southern Courtyard Complex
- Watson Commons and Pods
The only residence hall that has wireless connection in the rooms is-
- Brannen Hall
- University Villas
For complete details on what you need to do to connect, go to Steps
for Connecting To The Internet.
