Question: Can students get copies of software from Information Technology Services?
Answer: Yes, currently Symantec Antivirus is offered to all students. You can download the software at https://download.georgiasouthern.edu/. The bookstore also sells software at educational rates.
 
Question: I will be a student at Georgia Southern and I am purchasing a new computer. What software do you recommend?

Answer: There are no software requirements for student computers. Our computer labs have the Microsoft Office suite so it would be most convenient for you to have that software. Depending on your major, there may be other software that would be convenient to have but you can always purchase that after classes have begun.
