IT Services encourages new employees to make the requests prior to starting work . If the paperwork is submitted 5 business days before the employee starts, the employee should have all notification letters at the time of his/her start date. Once the accounts are created, IT Services sends notification letters containing the account name(s)/password(s) to the employee’s Georgia Southern Post Office Box.

Computer Equipment
Computers, printers and other electronic equipment are provided to many new employees by the hiring department. For security of University and State records, all computers changing ownership must have their hard drives formatted to remove any information from the previous owner. Getting Help
Information Technology Services creates accounts and sets up computers for new employees. We also offer trouble-shooting on supported hardware and software issues. Several departments on campus have their own technical support departments; for most areas IT Services provides the technical support.
