Web Services provides a centralized resource for web content management on campus. The University Webmaster provides guidance and policy to the campus community in the area of web development, design, and implementation.

Role of the Webmaster

• To administer, design, manage, and maintain the main University website. The main campus website includes a series of first level pages and a few second level pages. In completing this task the Webmaster will work to create a consistent look and feel that will be usable for a campus websites.
• Perform on a regular basis a quality assurance evaluation of all official websites at the University in order to assure that information is kept as current as possible, spelling is correct, and the general look and feel of the site is consistent with the rest of the University.
• Perform from time to time Website policy and compliance audits. This will help to make sure that the Web Publishing Policies set forth by the Web Oversight and Policy Committee are being adhered to.
• Provide guidelines for the production of unit/department pages to the Departmental Pagemasters in order to facilitate necessary changes and updates.
• Report on a regular basis to the Web Oversight and Policy Committee on the status of the website, new developments, and points of policy.
