Lock & Keys

The Lock shop is comprised of one supervisor, two Locksmiths II, and three Locksmiths I. The lock section is probably the busiest section in maintenance relative to the number of routine work orders completed. This includes anything from cutting a single key to rekeying an entire facility. The efforts of this section are concentrated on providing the best security and key control possible. A retaining key system has been initiated for resident living facilities to aid in this effort. A locksmith is on call 24 hours a day to handle emergency situations to aid in providing security for the residents. The lock and key department also installs wireless door security access.

Graphics Design

The Graphics Design section is comprised of one Graphics Design Supervisor and one Graphics Technician I. This section is involved in varied signage tasks on a daily basis. Some of these tasks are renumbering facilities to bring them into ADA compliance. A time phased cycle has been implemented in refurbishing exterior building identification signs.
This section fabricates and installs the vinyl letters in this process. A state-of-the-art graphics plotter and router are used to fabricate hard and soft vinyl letters and sign plates. They also engrave name tags, desk name plates, room identification signs, departmental signs and occupant names for office doors.
