Mini-Blinds

Blinds are required on all exterior windows. They shall be sized to cover the entire window unit, and shall come equipped with all hardware.

Slats: Minimum 25mm wide (.984 inches) virgin alloyed aluminum for maximum strength, flexibility, and resistance to corrosion slats shall be .010 inches thick (± .0005 inches) after painting.

Slat Supports: Braided polyester yarn with diameter of vertical component between .045 inches and .068 inches. Braided ladders shall support slats parallel and straight to assure proper tilt control and adequate overlap of slats. There shall be approxiamtely 15 rungs per foot of ladder equally spaced at .788 inch intervals. The distance between ladders shall not exceed 21 inches. The horizontal component of rungs shall consist of not less than four cables inter-braided with the vertical components.

Rail: Head rail shall be .025 inches thick Tomized steel "U" shaped; bottom rail shall be .031 inches thick Tomized. Both head and bottom rail shall have a plastic type coating cured at high temperature and shall be primed after coating.

Lift Cord: Braided high strength synthetic fibers with adequate diameter to provide minimum stretch and maximum strength and flexibility.

Wand: The wand is to be made of fiber-glass and shall be at least three feet long.

Carpet

Flammability:ASTM E-648 (Flooring Radiant Panel) Meets National Bureau of Standards recommended limits for commercial (Class II) and/or institutional (Class I) Occupancies (critical radiant flux of 0.45 watts/cm2 or greater). Smoke Denisty: NBS Smoke Density Chamber (NFPA-258) Less than 450. Electrostatic Propensity: 70/20 AATCC-134 Under 2.5 KV.

Loop Pile: Tufted 26 or 28 oz. solution dyed 100% DuPont Antron BCP or Zeftron 500 Nylon ZX, 1/10 gauge.

Cut Pile: Tufted, Yarn weight minimum 30 oz. per Sq. Yd. Gauge 1/10, Pile height: .312".

Carpet Backing: Carpet shall have "ziplock" backing or equivalent.

Yarn Fibers: DuPont's Antron, Antron XL, Solution Dyed Antron (Lumena), BASF's Zeftron and Zeftron 500 ZX, Monsanto's Ultron 3-D, Allied's Anso IV.

Wallcovering

Contact Vinyl Fabric-Backed Wallcovering, Weight: Type I and II (averag is around 15 oz. per linear yard). Class A Flame/Smoke Rated Per ASTM E-84. CFFA Spec: meets or exceeds CFFA-W-101A or CCC-W-408A.

Where wall covering is applied to drywall or plaster, apply one coat of primer/sealer equal to Sherwin-Williams PreRite Classic Interior Latex Primer (B28W101). This will provide less wall destruction during upgrades, repairs or removal of the wall covering.

Preferred Mfg.: Koroseal, Guard, and Vycon
Adhesive: Manufacturer's recommended adhesive containing mildew inhibitors.

Acoustical Ceilings

The standard is a two foot by two foot ceiling tiles. Two foot by four foot ceiling tiles will not be used. Suspended acoustical tile ceilings will not be used as part of a fire rated assembly.
