The section of Georgia Ave pavement from IAP House to the Alumni House is to be demolished and replaced with campus standard pavers for a Pedestrium walkway. In addition, the small parking lot between Williams Center and Herty Building will be demolished and replaced with a park setting of lawn, walkways and nook wall seating. In addition, the Pedestrium will be lined with new street lamps, benches and Oak trees. .

Bids received and opened May 29, 2008. Exterior Concepts of Buford, GA was the apparent low bidder.

Exterior Concepts of Buford, GA was awarded the contract. Notice to proceed has been given. Campus community has been informed of the closing of the small Herty parking lot and Georgia Avenue from Hollis parking entry to the Print Shop. Alternate access-ways are being established to affected facilities.
Near Term Expected Work
Demolition of roadways, parking surfaces and the Chemical Storage facility. Installation of utility infrastructure.
