Monday, October 17th

Food, Inc. viewing @ 8pm. on Sweetheart Circle.


  • "Our nation's food supply is now controlled by a handful of corporations that often put profit ahead of consumer health, the livelihood of the American farmer, the safety of workers and our own environment. Food, Inc. reveals surprising—and often shocking truths—about what we eat, how it's produced, who we have become as a nation and where we are going from here. Watch the movie on Monday, October 17th @ 8 p.m. at Sweetheart Circle and then come see Robert Kenner...the maker of Food, Inc. talk on Tuesday, October 18th @ 7 p.m. in the Russell Union Ballroom!"

Farmer's Market: 10a-2p, Williams Center

  • The Main Street Farmer's Market offers the best quality and freshest food sold by our hard-workinglocal farmers. On October 19th, the farmers will bring their produce to our campus! Come support our local farmers and enjoy the convenience of the Farmer's Market on campus!!

Robert Kenner, Food, Inc. @ 7p.m., Russell Union Ballroom

  • Robert Kenner is the director of the Critically-Acclaimed Documentary, Food, Inc. Food, Inc.. reveals truths about what we eat, how it's produced, who we have become as a nation and where we are going from here. Food Inc. examines large-scale agricultural food production in the United States, concluding that the meat and vegetables produced by this type of economic enterprise leads to inexpensive butenvironmentally harmful and unhealthy food. This documentary is life-changing and Kenner's talk willmake you think about what you eat and how it contributes to your personal wellness as well as the wellness of our Nation.

Wednesday, October 19th

Trivia @ 6 p.m., Williams Center, Student Center Multipurpose Space

  • Team up with your friends, favorite professors, advisers or anyone on campus (teams must have 8 - 10 people) and test your trivia knowledge and boost your intellectual wellness! Drinks and snacks will be provided. Send an email with your team members names to wellness@georgiasouthern.edu.

Thursday, October 20th

Social Justice Fair@ 11am-2pm, Russell Union Rotunda.

  • Learn ways that you can make a difference locally, nationally, and internationally.

The Mind-Body Connection @ 5 p.m., Russell Union 2047

  • "The Mind-Body Connection is a powerful tool people can use to create and maintain control over their daily lives. We invite you to come and learn about different ways in which you can use the Mind-Body Connection to reduce different types of stress."

Friday, October 21st

Volunteer Opportunity

  • Meet at Russell Union Rotunda at 2pm.
    It's time to take action! Help deliver collected donations to local agencies.
