OVERVIEWThe Southern Adventures Challenge Course purpose is to provide exciting experiential learning opportunities that focus on group dynamics and development, harnessing leadership potential, and stimulate problem solving skills that will increase individual awareness, self-esteem, and respect for individual differences. CHALLENGE COURSE PROGRAMSThe challenge course is designed to offer participants many different experiential learning opportunities. Experiential learning is hands-on, and revolves around the idea that people can develop their strengths and acknowledge their weaknesses best, through experience. Our challenge course programs can be custom tailored to meet your group's needs and desired outcomes. The programs we offer generally consist of two different types, and can be combined to provide a total experience for your group *Check our reservations request for a list of desired outcomes and explanations. Low Challenge CourseThe low challenge course provides the perfect setting for groups to develop the skills necessary to work as an effective team. Teamwork and leadership skills, problem solving, thinking "outside the box", group dynamics, and increasing self-awareness are all topics that participants will actively focus on while tackling many group challenges. These programs can be completed on our Low Challenge elements at CRI as well as in our gym or field facility with a collection of mobile activities and initiatives. The ideal group size for a Low Challenge course is between 10-15 participants, but we are able to accommodate groups up to 100+. Our outside low elements can only accommodate a group of up to 20 participants, but multiple groups can occur at once. High Challenge CourseOur high ropes course offers participants the opportunity to get outside of their "comfort zones" and tackle several individual challenges in a safe environment. It is an exhilarating experience that is not to be soon forgotten. At Southern Adventures our high challenge course consists of a static course, which is multiple elements connected together 40 feet off of the ground, ending with a zip line. There are also accessory elements that are available with the static course that allow participants another opportunity to step out of their comfort zone and into their growth zone. In order to get an idea of the time necessary it takes a group of about 15 people 2 hours to complete the static course. Understand that each group is unique and the time frame may differ. Combo ProgramsFor the ultimate program, you can also take your group on an all day experience that begins with fun games, progresses to some serious teambuilding activities, and then caps off with a rocking high challenge course experience! * 3 hour minimum (1 hour lows and 2 hours highs) *Understand that the more time spent out on the course provides a better experience and understanding for participants. Please note that the time suggestions are the minimum amount of time necessary for a group of around 15-20 people. Please see the FAQs on the Groups page for more detailed information.
