Women & Weights

BootyCamp Logo

Women who may be intimidated of working out or want to learn about the benefits of weight training, can now join Women & Weights. Under the supervision of nationally certified personal trainers, you have a chance to learn how to use resistance training modalities (machines, free-weights, resistance bands, etc.) and how they can benefit you. We will debunk myths about women and resistance training and educate you on proper exercise technique. This class is designed specifically to help educate women and is ONLY recommended for beginner female exercisers.

The Purpose of the Program is to:

  1. To educate participants about proper exercise form.
  2. To teach women the importance of strength training.
  3. To assist women in overcoming fears of the weight room.
  4. To debunk myths about women and resistance training.
  5. To teach how working out can be enjoyable.

Any GSU female student or faculty/staff that is a member of the RAC is eligible.
