Biggest LoserThe Biggest Loser Challenge is designed to help improve exercise and nutrition habits in order to improve total wellness along with reducing the risk of chronic disease. In order to do this, you will receive assistance and guidance to implement healthy behavior changes that will increase your quality of life.

We invite you to look around and learn more about the challenge from this site as well as those on campus who have lived it - then decide if you are ready to accept the challenge yourself!

NOW accepting applications for the Spring Biggest Loser Challenge

1. Criteria for Selection

  • Georgia Southern University Undergraduate and Graduate Full-Time Students & Faculty or Staff are eligible
  • Beginner exerciser
  • At least 20+ lbs to lose
  • Committed to at least 5 hours per week
  • Completed application and 200 word essay describing why you should be selected to participate
  • Applications are due Friday July 20, 2012
    • All applicants will be notified by Friday, July 27 of their status
    • Orientation for those selected will be held on Wednesday August 22, 2012 at 6:00pm at the RAC

2. Paperwork & Payment (If Selected)

  • Please make payment to CRI no later than January 22, 2012 by 5:00pm

3. Commitment & Attendance

  • Commit to a 12-week program
  • Commit to three monthly challenges on weekends
  • Attend
    • weekly fitness sessions
    • nutrition workshops
    • bi-weekly weigh-ins
  • Consult Fitness Calendar for information
