- Instruction is available upon request.
- Please consult an Fitness Staff member before using any piece of
equipment if you are in doubt about proper exercise technique.
- All users of the weight room must be at least 16 years of age.
- Workout towels are mandatory for each individual using the weight
room. Please return the towel to the appropriate bins after use.
- Please clean equipment after each
use.
- If you experience lightheadedness, dizziness, nausea, or any other
discomfort, stop workout and see the appropriate staff member on duty.
- Proper training attire must be worn at all times (specifically,
shirts and closed-toed athletic shoes).
- No clothing with zippers is allowed.
- Clothing that does not cover the torso must be fitted.
- Mesh tops are not allowed.
- Belts are not allowed (with the exception of weight belts).
- A Thirty Minute time limit must be observed on all cardiovascular
machines during high traffic times.
- Weights must not be dropped or thrown.
- Spotters are required on all press stations.
- Collars are required on all free weight bars.
- Equipment must be kept off the floor and returned to the proper
racks when lifting is completed.
- All personal items must be stored in the provided cubicles and or
lockers.
- The RAC is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
- Staff members are not permitted to hold valuables.
- Water is permitted in activity areas if in a resealable container.
- Chewing gum is not permitted in the weight room.
- Immediately report any weight room injury to the appropriate staff
members on duty.
- Please report facility or equipment irregularity to the appropriate
staff members on duty.
- Respect for equipment and facilities must be demonstrated at all
times. Misuse of equipment and facilities may result in immediate
expulsion and/or loss of additional privileges.
- You must re-rack all weights.
- Please do not place hands, feet or anything else against the mirrors.
- People socializing in groups that congest the weight room will be
asked to disperse or leave.
