What is GSU Biggest Loser?
- It's a 12-week healthy lifestyle / weight loss / physical activity challenge sponsored by Campus Recreation & Intramurals
- Faculty/Staff will have educational workshops, weekly workouts and challenges, and monthly challenges.
- Faculty/Staff will also have weigh ins and group sessions to support a healthy weight loss and lifestyle modification
Purpose: The purpose of The Biggest Loser challenge is to help Faculty/Staff improve exercise and nutrition habits in order to improve total wellness along with reducing the risk of chronic disease. In order to do this, Faculty/Staff will receive assistance and guidance to implement healthy behavior changes that will increase their quality of life. Benefits of participating include but are not limited to
- Learning how to maximize physical activity
- Make healthier food choices
- Learn about lifestyle choices
- Have fun in the process!
How do I apply?
- Complete the GSU Biggest Loser application; include 200 word essay explaining why you should be a Biggest Loser participant.
- Deadline for all applications has not yet been announced.

Participants who are selected MUST:
- Submit payment to CRI no later than advertisedthe deadline.
- Obtain a medical physical (provided)
- Allow all information (pictures, results) to be used for publicity purposes.
- Commit to a 12-week program ; attend weekly fitness sessions, nutrition workshops and bi-weekly weigh ins
