Educational & Therapeutic Programs

The original vision for Educational & Therapeutic Programs was to have a definitive and productive academic link between Campus Recreation and Intramurals (CRI) and other campus departments, centers and programs at Georgia Southern University.

Educational & Therapeutic Programs (E&TP) was created to:

• Enhance CRI student worker training and assessment;
• Enhance CRI programming and the evaluation of these programs for future refinement;
• Cultivate CRI and collaborative programming to enhance student learning experiences and development at GSU;
• Design, facilitate and analyze research related to CRI programming; and submit grants related to CRI research and programming
• Positively impact student retention & graduation rates

Subsequently, E&TP welcomes any collaborative programming and/or research ideas to be presented for discussion, analysis and ultimately implementation where viable and appropriate.

Some of the potential collaborative opportunities include:

• Course & student practicums
• Student internships
• Program design, implementation & assessment
• Service projects
• Research design, implementation & analysis
• Special event design, promotion, facilitation
• Alternative learning formats
