WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
ABOUT CRI SWIM LESSONS
What is the free preview day? Am I required to attend? Why should I attend?
The free preview day is a chance for anyone to attend a free swim lesson to determine what would be the best class to fit their goals of becoming a better swimmer. This is not a requirement and there is no commitment. Just come in and get a free lesson to see if it is right for you. Bring a friend!
What to bring on the first day.
Please have swim suit on and be ready to get in the pool at the beginning of the first day. Also you will need to bring your own towel and if you wish, you may bring your goggles. Please use the locker rooms to enter the pool area. If you choose to use the locker room to store your items, please bring a lock to secure your items inside a locker. Remember lockers are for use only when you are in the building.
When to be ready and where to meet.
At the start time of each class all the swim lesson classes will be gathered on deck by the shallow end of the pool (by the windows looking towards the weight room). At the designated time, each instructor will call roll and take their class to the pool.
Where to sign up.
Registration must be done in advance at the Member Services desk at the RAC. Registration starts on January 14th and will end at 5 pm on the first day of each session.
If you must miss a class.
In group classes, no “make ups” will be offered. If you miss a class the instructor can inform you of the skills that were worked on and you may practice those skills outside of class.
If you sign up, then decide not to take the class.
If you are signed up and decide not to take the class for any reason, you will get a full refund as long as written request is submitted to James Browning before the first class. If you make the request after the first class of the session, requests will be handled on a case by case basis.
