The Computer Center houses and supports the centrally located Unix servers used by the campus community. The staff provides for the integration and support of enterprise programs and databases. Our resources support both administrative and academic technology.
Services offered include:
- Account creation for faculty/staff e-mail and web.
- Account creation for administrative systems. (Banner, Crystal, DataWarehouse, ListServ, PeopleSoft, WebXtender, R25, PAF, BFPROD, MySQL and WorkFlow)
- System support for academic systems including but not limited to Oracle classes, WebCT, student e-mail, Real Server.
- System support for administrative systems such as Banner, PeopleSoft, LMS, TrackIt, Resource25.
- Creation of listservs for campus related groups.
Other important responsibilities are:
- Backup and restoration of operating system and user files.
- Liaison with vendors for machine repairs and hardware upgrades.
- Security and operating system maintenance of central servers.
