Establishing a Parent Login

 

A Georgia Southern University student may establish a Parent Login for a parent, guardian or spouse to use to view the student’s account and make online payments.

 

The student’s account contains charges for tuition, fees, housing and meals.  Payments may be made online via free electronic webCheck or via credit card (MasterCard, American Express or Discover); a 2.75% convenience fee applies to credit card payments.

 

To ensure security and to protect a student’s rights under FERPA, a student must establish the Parent Login. 

 

To establish a Parent Login, a Georgia Southern University student will

  • Access MyGeorgiaSouthern from the Georgia Southern University home page at http://www.georgiasouthern.edu
  • Enter the student’s user name and password
  • Click on “Personal Settings”
  • Click on “Create parent login account”
  • Write down user name and password created for Parent Login
  • Provide Parent Login user name and password to parent, guardian or spouse

 

If a Parent Login is lost

  • Student will access MyGeorgiaSouthern from the Georgia Southern University home page at http://www.georgiasouthern.edu  
  • Enter the student’s user name and password
  • Click on “Personal Setting”
  • Click on “Change Your Parent’s Password”
  • Write down user name and password created for Parent Login
  • Provide Parent login user name and password to parent, guardian or spouse

 

A Georgia Southern University student may delete a Parent Login at any time by following the same online directions above but clicking on “Delete Parent Account”.

 

Only a Georgia Southern University student may create, delete or change a password for a Parent Login Account.
