Important Information
Student Parking
Residents
All students who reside in Residence Halls on campus will be restricted to their assigned parking area between the hours of 7:30 am & 4pm, Monday - Friday. All resident students shall park vehicles in campus lots which are labeled with letters on the campus map corresponding to the letter on their parking permit during restricted times. Lots are designated RESIDENT PERMIT PARKING ONLY and are enforced 24/7.
Commuters
All commuter students shall park in their designated lot, at the RAC, in 30 minute parking or at the Stadium during restricted times.
Any student who changes his or her address must report it immediately to Parking & Transportation. Failure to do so may jeopardize parking privileges and/or result in fines.
Non-Commuters
Students living in the Non-Commuter Zone, as shown on this map, are not eligible to purchase a Commuter Permit for daytime parking. These students can bike, walk or ride the transit system to campus. They will also be able to park at the Stadium or the RAC and ride the shuttle.
Temporarily Disabled Students
Temporarily disabled students who have their motor vehicle properly registered and who have secured a "temporary access permit" may at any time, park their vehicle in any marked space designated for Faculty/Staff, Commuter, Resident, or Visitor parking, but may not park in disabled spaces without a State Patrol issued permit, nor in any other reserved space.
Faculty & Staff Parking
All faculty and staff personnel shall park vehicles on campus streets and lots designated by Faculty & Staff Parking signs. Return the hang tag to the rear view mirror after access is gained. Illegally parked cars in these areas are subject to additional fines and/or towing.
Many Faculty and Staff lots will be controlled by parking gates. Access is gained through a bar code on the bottom of the hang tag parking permit.
Students Who Are Children of Faculty or Staff Members
Students attending Georgia Southern University who are children of faculty or staff members may park vehicles only in student lots. Lost or stolen Faculty and Staff hang tags must be reported to Parking & Transportation immediately. A replacement fee of $10 may apply.
