About Us

Georgia Southern University Health Services mission is to meet or exceed the student patients full range of needs -- medical, counseling, educational, and wellness -- while providing them with quality and efficiency at a reasonable cost.

Emergency Care

DIAL 9-911 FROM AN ON-CAMPUS PHONE OR 911 FROM AN OFF-CAMPUS PHONE

For medical emergencies, contact the Bulloch County Emergency Medical Service (EMS), regardless of the time of day or night.

Dial 9-911 if using a campus telephone or 911 if using an off-campus telephone. GSU Public Safety may also be contacted at (912) 478-5234 in case of emergencies.

After Hours

Students who become sick or injured when the Health Center is closed, may seek medical treatment at either the Immediate Care Center (directions), or the East Georgia Regional Medical Center Emergency Room (directions), which is located a short distance from Georgia Southern University on Fair Road in Statesboro.

All expenses related to emergency and after hours care are the responsibility of the student. Students are encouraged to carry their health insurance card at all times. If students are dealing with a medical emergency they should contact 911 (9-911 on campus). For other health problems or issues we recommend that students contact the Health Service After Hour Nurse Response Line by calling the main Health Service number: 912-478-5641.
